What Is an Oil-Free Air Compressor?

Unlike oil-lubricated compressors, oil-free designs use alternative materials — such as water injection, Teflon-coated components, or specialized dry-running materials — to compress air without any lubricating oil entering the compression chamber. The result is compressed air that meets ISO 8573-1 Class 0 certification, the highest purity standard available, guaranteeing zero oil contamination.
