Brabazon is looking for a full-time Safety Manager at our Green Bay, Wisconsin location.  This position will develop, coordinate, and implement occupational health policies and procedures to promote and ensure effective safety operations in the organization.  In addition, the Safety Manager role will be responsible for providing proactive leadership and expertise that promotes our safety culture.

A day in the life of our Safety Manager…

  • OSHA reporting
  • Customer safety requirements/stats and reporting/training/safety agreements
  • Safety Manual – updating and training
  • Management of Safety Training programs including a close partnership with Brabazon Service team to assess opportunities to enhance current safety guidelines and expectations
  • Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics
  • SDS Administrator
  • Near Miss/Incident Management/Worker’s Compensation
  • Post Offer Functional Testing
  • Job Hazard Analysis
  • Managing PPE and equipment inspections programs
  • Oversee Sub-Contractors
  • Administer and train on our driver safety program
  • Proactively recommend and develop health and safety procedures and training for all areas of the company
  • Monitors compliance with safety procedures

 What you need…

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Industrial Risk Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a safety or similar role
  • Extensive knowledge of company safety & environmental regulations and policies, as well as applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record
  • High level analytical, problem-solving & organizational skills, as well as attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to train and motivate others to champion health and safety success
  • Be self-motivated and possess excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Can easily work both independently and as a team player with internal and external parties
  • Ability to effectively communicate and understand the needs of others, both in writing and verbally, with people of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the company.

Travel requirements…

  • 15-20% local travel (within Wisconsin)
  • 15-20% overnight travel (Illinois, eastern Missouri, eastern Minnesota)
