A typical day in Shipping & Receiving…
- Perform receiving clerical work following company procedures associated with receiving merchandise shipped to Brabazon by UPS, FedEx and LTL.
- Verify and record receipt on receiving slips, checking product against purchase orders, packing slips or bill of lading. Notify the appropriate person of any shortages or incorrect merchandise received.
- Responsible for loading and preparation of all Brabazon freight shipments including filling out bill of lading.
- Fill daily customer orders and notify the supervisor of orders not shipped.
- Maintain UPS and FedEx records, including documenting any damage to shipments.
- Perform daily cycle count with the expectation to sustain a 95% or better inventory accuracy.
- Assumes responsibility for security and maintenance of warehouse, merchandise, and equipment.
- Keeps all equipment in good working condition.
- Performs basic cleaning duties and keeps the warehouse and shipping area organized.
Success in this role looks like…
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and forklift experience are required.
- Minimum of two (2) years of work experience in Shipping, Receiving, Warehouse, or Logistics.
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs and ERP system.
- Excellent attendance, punctuality, and a positive attitude are essential.
- High-level oral and written communication skills are demonstrated by the ability to communicate across all levels within and outside the organization.
- Superior time management, organizational, and follow-up skills
