Blower Repair: Industrial Blower Rebuild and Service

We repair industrial process blowers: rotary lobe and positive displacement blowers, regenerative blowers, and multistage centrifugal blowers used for aeration, pneumatic conveying, and process air. This is industrial equipment for plants and treatment facilities, not lawn or yard blowers. The repair is matched to the blower design, whether that means re-timing lobes on a PD unit or servicing the impeller and bearings on a regenerative blower.

It starts with an assessment of the rotors, timing gears, bearings, and seals, plus the running clearances that let the lobes turn without contact. From there we replace worn bearings and seals, service or replace timing gears, machine or replace rotors where needed, and reset lobe timing and clearances to specification. We then verify the blower moves air at its rated pressure so the rebuild restores capacity, not just rotation.

Heat and lost airflow usually trace to worn clearances, failing bearings, degraded gear oil, or a clogged inlet filter rather than the motor. As lobe clearances open up, the blower slips air internally, works harder, and runs hotter. We measure clearances and check the drive, lubrication, and filtration together so the repair addresses why the blower is struggling, not just the symptom.

Service intervals depend on duty and environment, but the fundamentals are consistent: keep the gear and bearing oil clean and at level, protect the inlet with maintained filtration, and monitor temperature and vibration for early warning. Continuous-duty aeration blowers and dusty conveying service need closer attention than intermittent applications. Repair when the housing and rotors are sound and only bearings, seals, gears, or clearances have worn, which covers most blower service. Replacement makes sense when rotors or housing are damaged beyond machining, the blower is mismatched to its current flow and pressure duty, or repeated failures point to a sizing or system problem.
